Nashville rock band Ace Monroe will play a free concert at the Reston Town Center Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 1, after winning over crowds as Smash Mouth's opening act at last fall's Rocktoberfest.
The band takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. at the pavilion, 11900 Market St., and plays until 10 p.m. Admission and garage parking are free.
Organizers said they invited Ace Monroe back based on the audience response to their Rocktoberfest set, according to Patch. The group blends original rock with covers, drawing on classic rock and modern indie influences. The Concerts on the Town season lineup describes them as a modern rock act built on gritty guitar riffs and high-energy live performances.
The show is part of the Concerts on the Town series, now in its 33rd season of free Saturday evening performances at the pavilion.
Sip & Stroll starts at 6 p.m.
Concertgoers can arrive early for the Sip & Stroll program, which begins at 6 p.m. Visitors may purchase alcoholic beverages from participating Reston Town Center restaurants and carry them within the designated concert area. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
The concert is held beneath the covered pavilion but is weather permitting. For cancellation updates, organizers recommend calling 703-435-6600 (option 2) or checking the Reston Town Center website.
