The Reston Multicultural Festival turns 25 this fall, anchoring a run of four free events at or near Reston Town Center between mid-September and mid-October.

The Reston Community Center's signature cultural event returns Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 11900 Market St. According to TysonsToday's fall festival guide, the anniversary edition features performances across three stages, immersive street programming and artists of national significance, including National Heritage Fellows, recipients of the nation's highest honor in traditional arts.

RCC calls the festival Reston's premier cultural gathering. It draws thousands each year for music, dance, art and storytelling from communities around the world. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution honoring the festival in May, recognizing its quarter-century role in the community. RCC solicited performers, artisans, culturally inspired businesses and community organizations earlier this year for the anniversary lineup, according to a March report from TysonsToday.

All four events are free.
