Two Reston cats need a temporary home while their owner serves overseas. The nonprofit Operation Foster is looking for a local volunteer to take them in.
Oliver, a 4-year-old tabby, and Princess Peach, a 2-year-old tuxedo cat, need a foster family together from Oct. 15 through April 20, 2027, while their owner deploys to the Middle East, Reston Patch reported on Monday, Sept. 7. The pair cannot be separated.
Oliver is a low-energy lap cat who enjoys sunny windows and the occasional burst of zoomies. Princess Peach is independent and affectionate on her own terms. Both get along with other cats and can live with dogs after proper introductions, according to Operation Foster.
Operation Foster, a service of the nonprofit PACT for Animals, provides free foster care for pets of active-duty military members facing deployment. The owner's name and branch of service have not been publicly identified.
