Two men were hospitalized after a shooting in the Hutchison neighborhood on Monday, Oct. 26. A Herndon man now faces four felony charges.

Olmer Danilo Perez Villegas, 32, turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Tuesday, Oct. 27, the Fairfax County Police Department said. He was charged with two counts of malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied vehicle and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond.

Officers in the Reston Police District responded to the 2200 block of Astoria Circle at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 for a reported shooting. They found one man with a gunshot wound to his upper body and a second man shot in his lower body. Both were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The department's Major Crimes Bureau took over the investigation.

Police allege Perez Villegas had been in a verbal argument with one of the victims, who was known to him, outside an apartment. "During the argument, Perez Villegas fired multiple rounds, striking the victim," the FCPD said. A second man sitting inside a nearby vehicle was also struck by gunfire.

Perez Villegas fled before officers arrived. He turned himself in on the morning of Oct. 27.

The FCPD described the incident as a "domestic-related shooting" but has not specified the nature of the relationship between Perez Villegas and the primary victim, as FFXnow reported.

Victim specialists from the Major Crimes Bureau's Victim Services Division have been assigned to assist both victims, the department said.
